BAXTER MANUFACTURING IN WESTMINSTER, SC HAS OPENING FOR AN INJECTION MOLD MATERIAL HANDLER. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Keeps machines supplied with resin, regrind or colorant according to manufacturing schedule or direction of department Supervisor or Shift/Team Leader
2. Identifies, weighs, sorts and records purge quantities and type. Properly sorts purgings to scrap container free of cardboard or other contaminants.
3. Places, scans and moves raw material to/from machines and dryers as required. Verifies material types per BOM and prevents cross-contamination when handling.
4. Cleans and adjusts loader hoppers, weigh hoppers and material blenders. Verifies proper operation of material transfer equipment; reports issues to Supervisor or Maintenance.
5. Provides and verifies correct colorant per BOM. Adds necessary colorant to press, verifies correct percentage of usage; recovers unused colorant for return to stock.
6. Carefully handles all raw materials to reduce waste. Cleans, weighs and records any loss due to dropped, spilled or scrap resins or colorant.
7. Ensures proper use, adjustment, placement and cleanout of grinding equipment located or for use on pressroom floor; follows all safety precautions
8. Keeps hoppers, filters, platforms, machines associated to production area and dryer area clean of scrap materials that have fallen or escaped from material transfer system.
9. Completes ALL required documentation; properly scans and records all material usage or movement as required by Department Manager or Supervisor.
10. Ensure that ALL raw Materials that are moved, disposed of or returned to stock are properly identified and placed properly in correct location.
11. Verifies proper operation of all equipment utilized in the transfer, drying, weighing or scanning of raw materials under their responsibility.
12. Any additional duties as assigned by Supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must maintain regular and predictable attendance, including frequent overtime
2. Must be able to stand continuously
3. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, stoop, overhead reach, pull, push
4. Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally
5. Must be able to meet physical requirements of forklift operation (vision, distance judements, climbing on and off)
8. Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics

TECHNICAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. Previous manufacturing experience desired
2. Forklift operation
